Admissions

How moving in works.

Open visiting — friends and family may visit whenever they wish.

  1. Get in touch and come and lookEnquiries are welcome at any time, and staff are always available to show prospective residents and relatives around the home. There is no need to book weeks ahead.
  2. A needs assessment by a registered nurseEvery prospective resident has an assessment of their needs carried out by a registered nurse before admission. It can be done at home or in hospital, whichever suits. It is there to make sure the home is genuinely suitable and that the care needed can be met here.
  3. Spend a day with usIf they are able to, we encourage the prospective resident to spend a day at Tynefield Court — see the room, meet the staff and stay for a meal. Visiting is open at any point in the day.
  4. A contract, then a planned admissionA contract setting out the level of care and the fee is arranged. Only once all of that is in place does a planned admission take place.
Fees

What the fee covers.

We are committed to providing value for money within a comprehensive and caring service. Fees are individually assessed against each resident’s needs, so we will give you a figure after the assessment rather than a number on a page that turns out not to apply.

  • Fully trained team and support staff in 24-hour attendance
  • Good home cooking
